![]() This duology is action packed and full of surprises, and I think Resist was just as good as it’s predecessor. ![]() Bea and Ronan join forces to try and save the people in the Pod, Quinn is on the hunt for Sequoia, where everything is supposed to be perfect, while Alina is already in Sequoia, revealing it to be a place where no one would want to live anyway. You can really see the progression of the characters in Resist, except they don’t get to stay as a team for very long! Each of the characters split up to handle separate missions. If you’re familiar with dual POV stories then usually a new one is added to replace a character who dies, so it’s safe to say that I wasn’t surprised that one of my beloved three died at the end of the book. Eventually I enjoyed his perspective, but I think he was only added so we would know what was happening inside the Pod, as everyone else was Outside. I can happily say that I liked the ending and to a certain extent, wish there had been more!Ī new perspective is added in the sequel, that of Ronan, who I couldn’t remember being a main character in the first book, so his popping up was a tad odd. ![]() ![]() ![]() Luckily, I didn’t have to find out what happened next in the sequel to Breathe, because my local library has had the second book in stock for ages and finally I got to pick it up! I really loved the first book and was super excited to see how the series would conclude. ![]()
